Commercial Team

The Commercial Team, consisting of partner David Hunter and solicitor Kerry Sturman, deals with a wide range of commercial matters and advises clients in a number of sectors including offshore, energy, waste management, franchising and food and leisure.

The Team is highly experienced in the drafting of commercial agreements (including trading agreements, partnership agreements, shareholder agreements and joint venture agreements) and is frequently instructed to identify and protect intellectual property rights (including internationally) and to advise upon the commercial exploitation of such rights.

David Hunter has considerable experience in negotiating and drafting commercial agreements, often in high value and complex transactions and often with jurisdictional issues.

David also has substantial expertise in e-commerce law and regularly prepares the legal content of websites and assists clients in complying with the regulations and legislation affecting electronic activities.

David and Assistant solicitor, Kerry Sturman, proactively advise businesses upon compliance matters and the management of risk in other areas of their operations.
