Jessica is a key member of our Employment law and HR team, specialising in data protection training.
Jessica graduated from the University of Leeds in 2012, going on to complete her 2-year training contract with us. In 2017, Jessica accepted a permanent role as a solicitor within our Employment Law and HR team. Jessica is experienced in dealing with a variety of complex employment matters, working on behalf of both the employer and the employee. Day to day, Jessica’s caseload consists of both non-contentious and contentious matters, from drafting complex employment documentation to preparing for and advising clients on Employment Tribunal claims.
In addition to specialising in Employment Law, Jessica is heavily involved in the firm’s data protection offering. Jessica has advised numerous clients, from start-up businesses to international companies, on all aspects of data protection, including the implications of GDPR. In addition, Jessica provides a bespoke training package for data protection officers, who are new to the role or who feel that they would benefit from ongoing external support.
Outside of her client work, Jessica is a school Governor at a local Academy, providing assistance in the provision of its career and enterprise services.
I found the training Jessica provided really useful and informative. Jessica clearly explained what we needed to do as an organisation to comply with the GDPR. I can confidently say that receiving the training has not only benefited myself as a DPO, but also the rest of my Academy Trust as a result.
