Stephen Elliott joined the Endeavour Partnership team as a partner in late 2015, taking over as Head of the Employment department.
Stephen qualified in 1998 and joined Endeavour the following year, where he worked as a solicitor before moving to in 2001 to a heavyweight regional commercial law firm where he remained for ten years. He then led the employment team of a York-based firm before returning to Teesside.
Stephen has specialised employment law since qualification. He advises on all aspects of HR and employment law and is responsible for leading the Employment department and its development. . He works mainly with employers and senior executives and focuses particularly on providing sharp, decision-ready advice across all areas; whether on day-to-day HR issues or in the context of Employment Tribunal litigation, corporate transactions, exit/settlement negotiations, corporate immigration or pensions issues. He also works on employee-related data protection matters and provides training on all aspects of employment law and HR best practice.
He is consistently ranked in the Chambers Guide to the UK Legal Profession, where he is most recently described as someone who “focuses on the advice being specific to your business and industry rather than ‘general’ employment legal advice”.
