Theresa joined our team in early 2018, bringing with her over 15 years employment law experience.
Specialising in employment law since 2001, Theresa qualified with a boutique commercial firm in Lancashire before joining a regional heavyweight practice.
Later returning to a Teesside firm she solely specialised in employment law, having a broad range of experience working largely with commercial clients and senior level departures. This wealth of experience means that her biggest strength is in helping clients make the decisions about their employees that they want to take, and making that happen with a combination of extensive knowledge of this area of law and sensible pragmatic advice; priding herself in finding workable solutions in difficult situations.
Theresa’s background involves advising clients in respect of complex employment queries and litigation in relation to TUPE and holiday pay, as well as dealing with employment tribunals including multi-respondent claims with parallel High Court litigation, defending class actions, defending whistle blowing and discrimination claims and dealing with unfair dismissal matters.
She also delivers bespoke training to clients and regularly presents at seminars where she is a respected and popular speaker.
